Interesting matches on ETTV tonight |
We got a number of nice matches to look forward to this evening. Amongst them we have our own ET Team Punk'd who will be taking on mD in the ESL 6on6 Winterleague.
The lineup for TG Punk'd tonight will be as following
Ise
DDoggy
eraz
enque
waku
mandi

We wish our players the best of luck with this game!
---
Tonight 5 national teams will be warming up for the upcoming ClanBase Nationscup also. So we should have an interesting ET evening ahead of us! The National teams playing tonight are Estonia, Italy, Sweden Poland and Israel. Estonia with their topplayers Reload, Night and r3vers that was playing for mamut.si and achieved a third place at CC5 last year shouldn't have a problem taking down the Israelians in tonights match, will the Israelians be able to pose some sort of threat though? We have yet to see.

---
And not to forget are the Polacks who will be taking on oceans6 without their starplayer Wiesiek that has stated that he won't take part in this years NationsCup. Hopefully this shouldn't disturb them to much tongiht, but will it work out fine in the NationsCup?

Winter Season 2009 has arrived! |

The leaves have changed, snow has fallen (in many areas), and a New Year has begun! It is time to move into the Winter Season. The Fall Season saw explosive growth on many games and the coming of Tournaments. We anticipate the Winter Season will be a big season on GameBattles with more members, more games, a new Pro Circuit Season, and the increase of Tournaments around the site.Sign up's are open now, so get moving

2008 Christmas Competition Over |

Well, it's not a complete suprise, but Raed has won the 2008 Christmas Competition! He's played really well across all the rounds and the points just add up really. Second place was a lot tighter, with probably 4-5 people able to win that, but in the end *cough* goaty *cough* managed to pip Sui at the post and steal the silver medal!
I think if a few more people had been able to play all the games we'd have had a really close competition. I can't imagine Cupcake, Zymon, Chaos, Claw or Ehnen would have done badly at any of the games to be honest. Next time. Next year! Well played everyone, I hope you had fun, but now you've got to wait until our next competition at Easter. We also have the Nikonus Award to be won in March, don't forget!

The final day is here! Who will win? |

The question everyone is asking is.. Can anyone stop Raedwulf? It's possible! Ehnen and Cupcake are challenging for the Tower Defence title, there are only a few thousand points in it there, the aimers and shooters amongst us could top him at Urban Terror, and I think it's fair to say the field is wide open for Trackmania... that will be a really interesting round! Will one of our Swedish Trackmania crew be able to take the title?
The Enemy Territory round went off really well last night. We changed the rules and format at the last minute to something which was a LOT more fun - sniper, panzer mayhem on UDC's Christmas map. The med rambo's turned out to win the day, but I don't think that mattered as it was just really good fun. Snipers got to snipe, panzers got to blow people up.. awesome! We might well do that again sometime soon.

Well the competition is well underway! The flash round is driving everyone nuts, and the JK2/CSS rounds last night were well attended and a whole lot of fun! Raedwulf has taken the early lead, winning JK2, leading the flash game, and taking a good second in CSS. But there are plenty of people who could yet win this! The ET players should show their stuff in tonights round, and they should also pick up UT with ease. There are several people who aim to win Trackmania too, so that could be a fittingly close finish to the whole competition. The good news is that currently Raed can't get TM to play on his PC, so will he forfeit the last round?!

Claw (8) Goatherder (7), Ehnen (2), Sui (2), Vaako (2).
