Welcome! TG is always looking for new members, and we welcome people from any country and any background. TG was formed in 2002 by a group of friends and has grown slowly into a multinational community with members from all over the world. In early 2009 we took the step to group up with other clans into an even larger gaming community called The Group Thing (or TGT) so we now play even more games with even more like minded gamers. What we look for We like mature, friendly, no-hassle gamers. We don't play many competitive games, so if you want to be all 1337 and pr0 then go find another clan. We do have some teams who play in leagues, but they are disorganised and mainly also just play for fun, and probably with a beer to improve aim. We don't like racism, sexism and other forms of abuse, people who shout and cry, people who rage-quit, people who abuse their teammates or opponants, 1337 or pr0 people, hassle. We really like fun, mature, silly, crazy, good team players, people who say thanks, people who make friends with other teams, people who play games while drunk. How to apply 1) Register an account with this site and with the TGT site. Yes that's 2 whole registrations. If at this point you can't be bothered then it's probably for the best. We call this our stupid SOB screening process. Congratulations if you pass. 2) Find the TG forum within The Group Thing forums. This is the intelligence test. 3) Make a new thread called "My Application to Join". In this thread copy these titles and tell us a bit about yourself. Remember you're talking to a group of people who live in the real world, have jobs, can read and write in proper sentences and in some cases run companies. A good application should therefore probably contain grammar and spelling. 4) Come chat on the forums, come play with us on our server. You're on a one month trial where you have full membership access, but we all need to get to know you. You might not like us, we might not like you. Hopefully it'll never be like that as chances are even before you applied you met a few people from TG, but it's our way of making sure that our new members will definitely fit in and stick with us. 5) After a month, you'll either have disappeared in a puff of smoke, or you'll suddenly be thinking "wow was that a month already?" in which case nothing else will happen - you'll already have made new friends and be part of our community. Congratulations, you're part of our old skool and fun gaming community! |
